I am searching for REDWING family history. My grandfather's name was Arthur Redwing, born in NYC. His father's name or his father's father's name was Sunset Redwing.

Your Arthur Redwing was White, born 21 june 1922 in New York.
His mother was Alberta Redwing, born@1900 in Delaware, as were her parents.alberta too was white.
her husband was born in Pennsylvania. So look for a Redwing born in PA.
Arthur had at least a sister named Mamie Redwing born@1926 new York.
without any additional information you can provide re. Arthur's father and grandfather, I would guess that he was not of Native American Extraction.
